My Christmas, My New Year, and My Big Breakthrough Moments

01 Jul , 2025 Sunday

It’s 2025, and as promised, here’s the inside scoop on how my Christmas holiday unfolded. Buckle up, because this story is about challenges, breakthroughs, and a sprinkle of fun.

Week One: Red Alert and Rejections

Let’s be honest: the first week of Christmas was… rough. It felt like just another stretch of life’s challenges, which I’ve come to embrace as part of the human experience. I spent the entire week online, hunting for jobs. With my bank account flashing red and homelessness not far from my imagination (okay, slightly dramatic, but still), the pressure was real.

Applications sent?

Tons. Responses? Mostly rejections. My fellow Canadians can probably relate — you almost get used to the “Thank you for your application, but…” emails. It’s a whole vibe, but not the kind you’d vibe to.

A Light in the Tunnel: SyncApply

But just when the monotony threatened to swallow me, an idea hit me. Amid the chaos of endless job applications, I realized there had to be a better way for job seekers like me. Why not create a SaaS application to simplify the process? And just like that, SyncApply was born.

SyncApply is my brainchild, designed to streamline the entire job application process. It’s still in the development phase, but the frontend and backend integrations are nearly done.

Think of it as the ultimate job-hunting assistant — no more copying and pasting the same details into a thousand forms. My creative holiday project turned a miserable week into something productive and, dare I say, exciting.

Christmas Bliss: Family, Love, and Laughter

Fast forward to Christmas Day,

and oh,

what a turnaround! My cousin invited me to her family dinner, and let me tell you, it was a feast for the ages. The food, the laughter, the non-stop praises… everything was perfect.

The New Year: A Quiet Reset

New Year’s Eve was simple yet profound. I went to church for the crossover service, and by the time I got back, it was early morning. The rest of New Year’s Day was a lazy one, filled with sleep, cooking, and… coding! Yes, I couldn’t resist working on SyncApply.

Oh yea,

Day 2 of 2025: Lights, Camera, Magic

The magic didn’t stop there, my favorite person treated me to a movie night at Cineplex STC. We watched Mufasa: The Lion King on the ultra-display screen, and wow, what an experience!

My favorite soundtracks? “We Go Together” and “Tell Me It’s You.”

My love for good music deserves its own blog post, but let’s stay focused.

Updates About My Book

Oh, and speaking of projects, I’ve made progress on my book! I’ve reached chapter 10, which feels like a huge milestone. Life has kept me busy here and there, but I’m determined to finish it soon.

I can’t wait to share it with you all and hear your feedback.

The Plot Twist: SunnySnap

Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs. Just when I thought I had it all under control, I dropped my phone. The button popped out, and suddenly, I couldn’t take screenshots anymore.

For a broke man, replacing the phone wasn’t an option.

But why dwell on problems when you can build solutions? Enter SunnySnap, my mini screenshot Android app. It’s simple, it works, and it’s free of annoying ads. Necessity truly is the mother of invention.

A Call for Collaboration

There is love in collaborations. Any of my friends willing to collaborate can reach out to me; maybe we might as well be building our own startup. I know, right?

It’s New Year, we can do it!!! Building SyncApply and SunnySnap reminded me how much I thrive in collaboration. So, to all my friends and peers: let’s team up! Whether it’s a startup, a passion project, or the next big thing, I’m all in. Let’s make 2025 the year we turn dreams into reality.

Final Thoughts

So, there you have it — my Christmas and New Year in all its glory. From challenges to creativity, from family to fun, it was a holiday season to remember.

And to everyone reading this: let’s keep pushing, creating, and building. The future is ours to shape.
